For the past 40 years of working in the field of metaphysics and parapsychology, I have been able to observe some uncanny esoteric patterns to various life events.

As a scientific mind, I am not given to just believing in something unless I see some evidence of truth therein.

My work has involved looking at the accuracy of astrology, be it in terms of character analysis of individuals or the significance and effects of transiting planets to their natal charts and thus progression of them, in order to ascertain future life trends etc.

It would be true to say that in most future transits charts, there is evidence of repetition of various planetary sequences, which show a potential for history to repeat itself, suffice to say that transits merely speak of or augur the 'potential' for something to occur as opposed to the certainty that various life events will occur on account of the sequential progression of transiting planets.

But one strange thing has become evident to me which seems to ring true in having some bearing or significance on major traumatic events................

In numerology (which I must say I am very open minded about), the number 9 is known as the number of strife.

It is no surprise therefore that somewhere in every traumatic event you will find that the number nine, more often than not will have some significance.

World Trade Center 9/11

 

The most poignant of all major traumatic events in modern history is that of '9/11'.

In this event the date was significant to 9 as it occurred of course on the 11th day of the 9th month. (9).

19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 commercial passenger jet airliners. (19 = 9 comes up again).

The second plane hit the south tower of the World Trade Centre at 9.03am (9 comes up yet again!).

The south tower fell at approximately 9.59am (9 occurs twice here).

There were a total of 2,996 deaths to include the 19 hijackers. (9 comes up twice again and includes 19 = 9 again).

United Airlines Flight 93 was one of the planes hijacked on 9/11. (9 comes up again!).
I dare say that if you delve further into this tragic event you will unearth more occurrences of the number 9.

Oddly enough if you are in an emergency in the USA you are told to call 911 whilst if you are in an emergency in the UK you are told to call 999! (9 is again spookily significant!).

But look also at every plane which has crashed, and every derailed train disaster, or major motorway accident or murders and assassinations of famous people like world leaders or celebrities, 9 will figure in the equation some place........

A crashed plane may have had the number 9 in its flight number or plane number, perhaps the death toll was 99 or the plane took flight at 9.09am or had only 9 survivors.

John F Kennedy

John F Kennedy was born on 29th May 1917. He met a tragic end on November 22nd 1963 at 1pm but in UTC time = 1900 hours! (1963 - 6+3 = 9!).

Marilyn Monroe was age 36 when she died (3+6 = 9)! She met a tragic death. 4.5mg of Nembutal was found in her system (4+5 = 9!).

John Lennon was born on 9th October 1940 he met a tragic death at 11.07pm.

The world's deadliest mid-air collision was the 1996 Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision involving Saudi Arabian Flight 763 (SVA763) and Air Kazakhstan Flight 1907 (KZK1907) (9 in the flight number) over Haryana in India. All 349 people on board both flights were killed. (9 again significant in the number of fatalities). Area Coordinates: 28.6°N 76.2739°E (= 9 in the coordinates as well).

In 1589 Jacques Clement killed King Henry III of France.

World war 2 commenced in 1939! (9 again!).

The Waco Siege ended violently on 19th April 1993. (9 again!). David Koresh who headed the siege was born on August 17th 1959. (Yet another 9!).

29 people died in the Omagh bombing in Ireland on 15th August 1998. (9 again!).
The Vietnam War commenced in 1959 and ended in 1975 with a minimum estimated death toll of 2,495 people. (more 9's of significance!).

Lockerbie Disaster

The Lockerbie bombing in 1988 had 259 people on board when it went down. (another 9!).

Martin Luther King who was assassinated, was born on 15th January 1929 (9 again!). He was 39 when he died/was assassinated *another 9!).

Peter Sutcliffe (The Yorkshire Ripper)(UK) killed Josephine Whittaker on 4th April 1979 she was age 19. He also killed Barbara Leach on 2nd September 1979. He committed his first assault in 1969.

The UK was buzzing with the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. Naturally most people will wish them well.

But many years ago I heard that there was a curse laid on the late UK Queen Mother, by a foreign Royal, which supposedly would see all in her down line face broken marriages or at the very least marital discord.

So I wonder if 9 will be significant to the failed marriages of the late Queen Mother's down line......

Princess Diana

 

Prince Charles married lady Diana Spencer on 29th July 1981 (9 comes up again!) The marriage of course failed.

Princess Diana was just 8 years old when her parents divorced in 1969. (another 9!).

Diana's brother Charles Spencer is the 9th Earl Spencer. (yet another significant 9!).

A 1989 cell phone recording of a conversation between Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles revealed that they had shared intimacies, the tabloid newspapers came into possession of this and this lead to the eventual breakdown of the marriage between Prince Charles and Diana, as it forced Prince Charles to publicly admit to adultery. (there goes another 9!).

Prince Charles married Camilla Parker-Bowles on 9th April 2005 after being seen more publicly together from 1999, following the death of Princess Diana. (9's come up again!) and already rumor has it that their marriage is suffering already and that Camilla spends a lot of time at a home she owns in her own right, aside from that she shares with Prince Charles.

Princess Anne married her first husband Captain Mark Phillips on 14th November 1973 but in 1989 announced that she was separating and by 1992 was divorced. (1989 ... there goes another significance relating to the number 9!).

Princess Margaret was 29 years old when she married Anthony Armstrong-Jones she died on 9th February 2002. (9 comes up again!). Princess Margaret's marriage ended in divorce also.

Prince Andrew was born on 19th February 1960 (9 comes up in his birth date!) He married Sarah Ferguson on 23rd July 1986 but then on 19th March 1992 they announced plans to separate (9 comes up again!).

Prince Edward married Sophie Rhys-Jones on 19th June 1999 (9 comes up yet again several times) and their wedding was announced on 6th January 1999. It will be interesting to see how their marriage pans out given the occurrence of yet more 9's in the significant dates. They are seldom in the news and at one time it was rumored that Prince Edward was gay.

Prince William and Kate Middleton married on 29th April 2011 (9 again ugh!) Kate was age 29 when they married (9 again!). Kate was born on 9th January 1982 (9 again!). Prince William was born at 9.03pm (another 9 of significance). I do wish they had not chosen the 29th April to marry! (9 is not a good vibration here!).

The first ever photograph taken of the Queen of England, Elizabeth 11 together with Prince Philip was in 1939 (there goes another 9!).

Adolf Hitler who met an ill fated end in a joint suicide pact with his wife Eva was born on 20th April 1989, (another 9!) the Third Reich collapsed on 29th April 1945 (another 9!) and he and his wife committed suicide together on 30th April 1945. He took the surname Hitler at the age of 39! (there goes another 9!).

Titanic Sinking

The Titanic which sunk on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic Ocean started to be built on 31st March 199. (there we go with 9 again!). Her length overall was 882 feet 9 inches (269.1m) (9's again!). The moulded breadth was 92 feet. (9 again!). The height from the water line to the deck was 59 feet. (another 9!). There were 29 boilers fired by 159 coal furnaces (more 9's). There were 9 decks! (spooky, yet another 9!). The liner was laid down on 31st March 199. (9 again!).
There were 329 people on board in the first class deck and only 199 of these survived = 39.5% were lost. (9's again!).
In the second class only 119 survived out of 285 people (9 comes up again!).
There were 899 crew on board and only 214 survived (another 9!).

Another notable and more recent event, was of course the tragic Boston Bombings, at a marathon event in Boston USA, where two religious extremists planted pressure cooker bombs near the finishing line at the marathon event, killing and maiming many.

Boston Bombing

On April 15, 2013, two pressure cooker bombs exploded during the Boston Marathon at 2:49 PM EDT, killing 3 people and injuring an estimated 264 others. The bombs exploded about 12 seconds and 210 yards (190 m) apart, near the finish line on Boylston Street.

At 2:49 PM EDT (18:49 UTC), about two hours after the winner crossed the finish line, but with more than 5,700 runners yet to finish, two bombs detonated on Boylston Street near Copley Square about 210 yards (190 m) apart, just before the finish line. The first exploded outside Marathon Sports at 671–673 Boylston Street at 2:49:43 PM EDT. At the time of the first explosion, the race clock at the finish line showed 04:09:43, reflecting the elapsed time since the Wave 3 start at 10:40 am EDT. The second bomb exploded at 2:49:57 PM EDT, about 13 seconds later and one block farther west at 755 Boylston Street.

Despite video footage taken at the scene, the suspects were not identified by authorities before killing a police officer and hijacking a civilian. The source of identification was RMV records on the Honda vehicle, which was used in a subsequent kidnapping and then abandoned. The suspects were then identified as two brothers whose family had immigrated to the United States as refugees around 2002: 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev (Russian: born on October 21, 1986, and killed on April 19, 2013, and 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (Russian: born on July 22, 1993.

According to Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau, the brothers had an "arsenal of guns." Also according to Deveau, the older brother, Tamerlan, ran out of ammunition and was tackled and apprehended by police, while the younger brother Dzhokhar drove the stolen SUV toward police and over Tamerlan, dragging him a short distance down the street. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sped off, but about a half-mile away at the corner of Spruce and Lincoln streets he abandoned the car and escaped on foot.

Upon searching the scene only one firearm, a Ruger 9mm pistol, with a defaced serial number, was recovered. Within a 10-minute span, officers fired many rounds, peppering the area and leaving over a dozen nearby houses with scores of bullet holes. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on April 19 at 1:35 a.m. The emergency room doctors said that he did not appear to have been run over.

The FBI released additional photos of the two during the Watertown incident. Early on April 19, Watertown residents received reverse 911 calls asking them to stay indoors. On the morning of April 19, Governor Patrick asked residents of Watertown and adjacent cities and towns (Allston-Brighton, Boston, Belmont, Brookline, Cambridge, Newton, and Waltham) to "shelter in place". Somerville residents also received a reverse - 911 call with orders to shelter in place.

Three spectators were killed in the bombings: Krystle Marie Campbell, 29, a restaurant manager from Medford, Massachusetts;Lu Lingzi (Chinese: 吕令子), 23, a Chinese national and Boston University graduate student from Shenyang, Liaoning; and Martin William Richard, an eight-year-old boy from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, who was killed by the second bomb.

According to the Boston Public Health Commission, 264 people were treated at 27 local hospitals. Eleven days later, 29 remained (27 is mentioned 2+7 = 9!).

Many victims had lower leg injuries and shrapnel wounds, which indicated the devices were low to the ground. At least sixteen people lost limbs, at the scene or by amputation in a hospital, and three lost more than one limb.

During a fire fight with the suspects just after midnight on April 19, 33-year-old MBTA police officer Richard H. Donohue Jr. was critically wounded. He lost almost all of his blood, and his heart stopped for 45 minutes, during which time he was kept alive by cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Boston Globe reported that Donohue may have been accidentally shot by a fellow officer. (45 minutes is mentioned - 4+5 = 9!)

Following a $212,000 donation from Health Bridge Management on September 12, 2013, the One Fund Boston had received more than $69.8 million in donations.

Yet more significant '9's! Uncanny again don't you think?!

Missing Malaysian Flight 370

 

More recently we have seen the mysterious missing Malaysian flight MH370, just disappear into thin air, without a trace and the world left puzzled, as no over or under sea searches locating it, amid endless controversy and the usual prescriptions of conspiracy theories. But 9's have come into this disaster too....
There were 239 souls on board, including the crew. The plane's registration is 9M-MRO. It was scheduled to land in Beijing at 06.30am on 8th March 2014. (6+3 = 9!). There were two unidentified passengers on board and these were aged 19 years and 29 years. Not only that the plane was powered by two Rolls Royce engines, which were type "Trent 892"! And look at how many 9's there are in the flight record below:

On 29 March, the Government of Malaysia and the AAIB stated that, in accordance with the protocols detailed in International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 13 concerning aircraft accident investigation, they would set up an international team to investigate the loss of the flight.

The chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Rodzali Daud, claimed that military recordings of radar signals did not exclude the possibility of the aircraft turning back on its flight path. The search radius was increased from the original 20 nautical miles (37 km; 23 mi) from its last known position, south of Thổ Chu Island, to 100 nautical miles (190 km; 120 mi), and the area being examined then extended to the Strait of Malacca along the west coast of the Malay Peninsula, with waters both to the east of Malaysia in the Gulf of Thailand, and in the Strait of Malacca along Malaysia's west coast, being searched.

Searches following a Chinese website's satellite images, taken on 9 March, showing three floating objects measuring up to 24 × 22 metres (79 × 72 ft) at 6.7°N 105.63°E also turned up blank; Vietnamese officials said the area had been "searched thoroughly".

On 7 April, JACC announced that the Malaysian technical investigation team indicated that the partial ping from Flight 370 at 08:19 MYT was most likely when it impacted with the water. Together with further refinement of the satellite data calculation, the investigation team hypothesized a reduced search area.

These notable '9's above in relation to missing Malaysian Flight MH370 are only a few of the '9's which relate to this mysterious event, there are many more, and no doubt more significant '9's will come up in the course of time ahead!

Sewol Ferry Disaster

Then we have another recent disaster, the sinking of the Ferry in South Korea, the MV Sewol.....

MV Sewol (Korean: 세월호, Hanja:世越號, Beyond the world was built by the Japanese company Hayashikane Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Ltd. (Japanese: 林兼船渠) in 1994. At 146 m (479 ft) in length and 22 m (72 ft) in width, it could carry 921 passengers, or a total of 956 persons, including her 35 man crew. It had been reported to have space for 180 or 220 cars and could carry 152 twenty-foot shipping containers. The maximum speed of the ship was 22 knots (41 km/h; 25 mph).

Sewol was originally known as the Ferry Naminoue (Japanese: フェリーなみのうえ) between 1994 and 2012, and had been operated in Japan for 18 years. In 2012, the ship was later bought by Cheonghaejin Marine Company, Incheon, renamed Sewol and refurbished. Modifications included adding extra passenger cabins on the third, fourth, and fifth decks, raising the passenger capacity by 181, and increasing the weight of the ship by 239 tons. (18 years is mentioned 1+8 = 9!).

At 8:58 a.m., the Mokpo Coast Guard received the emergency call for the sinking of the ferry made by the student and dispatched a patrol vessel. During this time, the captain told passengers to stay in their rooms. Passengers were repeatedly ordered not to move over the intercom by the communications officer.

The ship then began communicating with the Jindo VTS, which was closer to its location. At 9:06 a.m., the Jindo VTS attempted to establish contact with Sewol, which it did at 9:07 a.m. At this point, the crew confirmed to VTS that the ferry was capsizing. At 9:14 a.m., the crew stated that the ship's tilting made evacuation impossible. At 9:18 a.m., the crew reported that the ferry had tilted more than 50 degrees to port. The tilting was later confirmed by the Central Disaster Countermeasure Headquarters (중앙재난안전대책본부 or 중앙재난대책안전본부). At 9:23 a.m., VTS ordered the crew to inform the passengers to wear personal flotation devices. When the crew replied that the broadcasting equipment was out of order, VTS told them to personally order the passengers to wear life jackets and more clothing.

At 9:25 a.m., VTS asked the captain to decide quickly whether to evacuate the ship, stating that VTS did not have enough information to make the decision. When the captain inquired about the rescue, VTS replied that patrol boats were due to arrive in 10 minutes and a helicopter in one minute. The captain then replied that there were too many passengers for the helicopter. Around 9:30 a.m., the captain gave orders to evacuate the ship, though the order may not have been relayed to all the passengers. At 9:33 a.m., after confirming that nearby ships had volunteered to help in the rescue operations, VTS told all ships to drop lifeboats for the passengers. At 9:38 a.m., all communications were cut off between VTS and the ferry. About three minutes after all communications were cut, about 150 to 160 passengers and crew jumped overboard.

The ship took two and a half hours to sink. By around 11:18 a.m., the bow of the ship was submerged, with a section about 2 metres (6 ft 7 in) high and 20 to 30 metres (66 to 98 ft) long showing above the water. At 9:00 a.m. on 18 April, only 50 centimeters (20 in) of the bow was above water. As of 1:03 PM, the ship was completely submerged.

The Ministry of Security and Public Administration vice-minister, Lee Gyeon-og, stated that there were 459 people aboard, the majority of whom were high school students who were on their way to a four-day field trip: 30 crew members, 325 high school students of Danwon High School, 15 school teachers and 89 non-student passengers were aboard the ship. Other reports put the number of passengers between 450 and 476.

As of 17 April, the ROK Coast Guard has concluded that an "unreasonably sudden turn" to starboard, made between 8:48 and 8:49 a.m. (KST), was the cause of the capsizing. According to the Coast Guard, the sudden turn caused the cargo to shift to the left, causing the ship to experience an incline and to eventually become unmanageable for the crew. The existence of the sudden turn has been confirmed by the analysis of the ship's Automatic Identification System data. The crew of the ferry has agreed that the main cause was the sudden turn. Experts such as Lee Sang-yun (Korean: 이상윤), a professor and head of the environment/maritime technology institute of the Pukyong National University has also agreed.

Overloading and the lack of proper securing of the cargo are also being seen as direct causes. The MV Sewol was carrying 3600 tons of cargo, despite a limit of 987 tons. The overloading was also previously noted by an off-duty captain and the first mate. Lee Sang-yun has also proposed overloading as a cause. According to the captain of the Sewol, the ship owners ignored his warning that the ship shouldn't carry too much cargo because it wasn't very stable.

At 8:58 a.m. (KST) on 16 April 2014, units from the ROK Navy were sent to help in the rescue effort. At 9:04 a.m., the Central Disaster Countermeasure Headquarters (중앙재난안전대책본부 or 중앙재난대책안전본부) was created by the government of South Korea. At 9:10 a.m., a rescue operations headquarters was set up in the South Korean Coast Guard. At 9:35 a.m., The Korean Ministry of National Defense started operating Counter-disaster Headquarters (재난대책본부). At 9:40 a.m., the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries declared the accident to be the highest state of emergency in terms of naval accidents; consequently, the Central Accident Response Headquarters (중앙사고수습본부) was established. At the same time, the Ministry of Health and Welfare sent emergency vehicles and the first squad of the Disaster Medical Support Team (재난의료지원팀) to Jindo.At 11:28 a.m., the Korea Navy's Ship Salvage Unit (SSU) was reported to have been deployed for the operations.

Initial reports stated that rescuers retrieved 368 people from cold waters as the passengers, mostly school students, had jumped overboard when the vessel started sinking, but the South Korean government later corrected this statement, saying 295 passengers remained missing. 22 of the 29 crew survived, including 15 responsible for the navigation.

Early in the rescue efforts, a 27 year-old female crew member was found dead inside the sinking vessel and a male high school student died shortly after arriving at a hospital. (27 year old female crew member is mentioned 2+7 = 9!)

In its 17 April morning edition, The Chosun Ilbo reported that 174 people had been rescued, 4 had died, and 284 were missing. According to CNN and its affiliate YTN, six people died. News1 Korea reported that, as of 8:00 a.m. (KST) on 17 April, 179 people had been rescued, 6 had died and 290 were missing. Three more people were found dead at 11:00 a.m. (KST) and the confirmed death toll rose to 9. At 10 PM KST, Yonhap news confirmed that the death toll had risen to 14. By the morning of 18 April, the death toll had risen to 28. On 19 April, the death toll rose to 36. By 20 April, the death toll reached 49. By 6 May, a diver searching the sunken ferry had died; not including the diver, the death toll in the ferry disaster has risen to 264, with 38 people still missing. (The death toll rose by 36 on 19th April 3+6 = 9!).

Yet more 9's associated with this tragic South Korean Ferry disaster in 2014, and the above mentioned are but a few again! That dreaded 9 strikes again and in so many uncanny instances too!

Above are only a few notable events in which 9 comes up as being eerily significant, I am sure if you delve into this more you will unearth many more such, uncanny incidences where 9 has some part to play! Sure makes you think doesn't it!
